Timpanogos Cave

Last Saturday (September 6th) we decided to go up and hike to Timpanogos Cave. We went with Karna and her boys, and Heidi and Mike. It was kind of a whirlwind planning process. One minute we were just thinking about it and saying that we may not be able to go this year (we tried to go with Heidi last year and it didn't work out); and then all of a sudden things fell into place and we were going. Well I went up the canyon that morning (cause we forgot to buy tickets in advance) and bought the tickets. I had planned on taking the girls up to my mom's house and then hitching a ride back down with Heidi. However that morning I remembered that my parents had stake conference andthey would consequently be attending the adult session that night and could not watch my girls. So I tried to no avail to find someone else. At about noon I gave up and called the cave to purchase two more tickets to take my girls with me. I was a little worried about it seeing as though I could barely make it to the cave last year by myself and now I was going to have to worry about getting my kids up there. Once we got up there though they did just fine. They were pretty excited about hiking up the tall mountain. And they both walked on their own until the last little bit when Josh had to carry Hannah. They liked it inside the cave too. I was really worried about them touching things but they did Awesome! The way back down was a little tiresome for everyone. But we all had a lot of fun and hope to make it a yearly occurance.
